Budget Vacation - Part 2

Yes, Orlando is number one when it comes to family vacations and we can think of a couple of others maybe but if we've done those, it gets just a little challenging to think of the best places to take the family. The emphasis is on fun during these vacations.

Here are some top picks:

1. No doubt, Walt Disney World and its associated theme parks is a dream vacation for most families. Besides WDW however, you will also find Universal Studios with a wide array of "scientific" exhibits and high-tech shows. You can take treks outside the parks to places like Wonder Works, an interactive science museum and dip your hands in water that is the temperature of the ocean the night the Titanic sank. You can take an airboat ride through the Florida wetlands and don’t forget for those Nick kids—The Nickelodeon family suite hotel.

2. Cruises make wonderful family vacations. Large cruise ships cater to all ages and many offer interesting and/or educational age-specific children's programs. With over 300 cruise ships to choose from, selecting the right cruise line for your family is often difficult. For most families, a large ship offers the greatest variety of activities and often provides youth counselors. While kids are being entertained and having the time of their life on board, Mom and Dad can get away from it all and enjoy a little alone time.

3. Thinking of a Mexico family vacation? You will most likely return time and time again. The country’s attraction is due to its complexity and diversity, which in turn means that everyone will find something to enjoy. Mexico offers white sands with seas ranging from the turquoise of the Caribbean to the deep blue of the Sea of Cortés; Hotels, resorts, restaurants, and attractions throughout Mexico welcome families with open arms. There are many all inclusive resorts, most resorts offer special Kid’s Programs with an assortment of professionally supervised activities planned throughout the day, no worries for your Mexico family vacation.

For those of you who are not computer savvy a travel agency can offer you an array of options and price quotes from a variety of suppliers giving you the upper hand when making your final travel decision.
