Thanksgiving Mentor Moment by Linda Trokey

For many families, Thanksgiving heralds the beginning of the holiday season. For that reason, we tend to rush through Thanksgiving thinking about all the preparations we need to do for Christmas. What we do forget is that Thanksgiving is a special time for gathering together to share a meal and give thanks for the many blessings God bestows upon us.

In a time of year steeped in tradition, take the time this Thanksgiving to praise the Lord for all He gives to us and those we love. Look around you and cherish those moments with your family and friends because all the physical trappings are temporary and what matters is our walk with Christ and those we love.

Psalms 145:7 - They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.
